Standard Exclusions & Variations

Owner Supplied Fittings

  1. Whereby owners/clients are providing there own a fixtures/fittings/appliances, if upon attending site we are unable to complete works due to incorrect specifications, a service callout will apply

Appliance – Replacements

  1. Cabinetry work is not included in the scope, nor is the modification needed to cover gaps left by the removal of old appliances.
  2. When applicable, stainless steel strips will be used to cover any voids, and may or may note be included in the above installation cost.
  3. Replacement appliances may not always fit seamlessly due to changes in design and dimensions of newer models.
  4. No allowance has been made for possible complications when removing existing appliances. Here are some potential complications to consider:
  5. Improper Installation: The appliance may not have been installed according to standard practices or manufacturer guidelines, leading to unexpected issues during removal 
  6. Damage to Surrounding Areas: Appliances that are tightly fitted or improperly installed can cause damage to walls, cabinetry, countertops, tiling or flooring when removed.

Appliance - Repairs

  1. Parts used for repairs do not come with a warranty.
  2. A 1-year warranty applies to all workmanship only.
  3. Any additional issues or faults that arise after the replacement of parts will be quoted separately. Further investigation of these faults will incur a labour charge to diagnose and report, as some components may not be testable during the initial visit or may be impacted by other faulty parts preventing full testing

Ceiling Fan – Replacements

  1. It is assumed that earth cables are present at each installation point for fan replacements. If earth cabling is not present, it will need to be installed according to AS3000 wiring rules and regulations, at a cost of $50 per fan. If ceiling space is not available, cable will need to be run in surface mounted duct from fan through to switch
  2. If cable alterations are required for installation (e.g., running new cabling to fans or installing new earth cables), the circuit must be RCD protected in accordance with AS3000 wiring rules and regulations. This will be charged at $120 unless existing RCD protection is in place.

Ceiling Fans - New installations

  1. Allowances have been made for ceiling to be battened out
  2. Unless we have attended site, we may not have allowed for replacement switches if required. If switches are required to be replaced, this will be applied as a variation
  3. It is assumed that earth cables are present at each installation point for new fan installations. If earth cabling is not present, it will need to be installed according to AS3000 wiring rules and regulations, at a cost of $50 per fan. If ceiling space is not available for running cabling, the cost will be specified in the quote.
  4. If cable alterations are required for installation (e.g., running new cabling to fans or installing new earth cables), the circuit must be RCD protected in accordance with AS3000 wiring rules and regulations. This will be charged at $120 unless existing RCD protection is in place.

General Exclusions

  1. Any patching or painting required after the removal of old fittings, fans, appliances, or air-conditioning systems and their associated parts is not included in this quote and is the responsibility of the owner to address.
  2. No allowance has been made for handling or cutting asbestos
  3. For all new Installations where existing electrical wiring does not comply, including inadequate circuit capacity and safety switch rating, a variation will apply to bring inline with regulations
